This twenty-seventh edition addresses the issue of graphic design and society. Indeed, in these turbulent times, it is more important than ever to consider the fundamental impact of graphic design in our society. Graphic design for the public interest is more so than ever, while social design opens up perspectives towards broader organizations and projects. Shapes, images and signs shape and structure our daily lives, our imaginations and our critical senses.
How does graphic design contribute to greater cohesion, understanding and balance in the society in which we live? How does it enable us to circulate better, educate better, understand better and interact better? How can it make the environment in which we live richer, more respectful and more interesting?
